In this uncertain time we all have lived we started valuing simple things and looking at the world with a different perspective.

We also have missed many things we took for granted before, and one of those things is travelling.

For travellers, like me, it is been a rough patch. But we are not going to let anybody cut our wings and stop us from flying.

Today, I bring you the 5 best places to travel during this times.

  • *Please take into account that you MUST always follow any requirement in the country visited.*

Here is my recommendation.

Mexico:

My social media have been full of people suddenly traveling to Mexico and we can't help but wonder "why?".

Well, Mexico is one of the countries with less travel measurements, or no measurements at all. This makes it more attractive because you will not need to spend the money in pricy tests.

According to the Tourism Secretariat of Mexico, the country has become the third most visit in the world during the pandemic.

This is not only because of the lack of measurements but because the majority of travelers always stay in a resort (which we recommend) where they have everything they need without having to go out and put yourself in danger. Furthermore, if you need to do quarantine, what better way to do it that in a resort watching the sunset in the beach?

The destinations that are more visited in Mexico are: Riviera Maya, Cancun, Los Cabos and Acapulco.

Personally, I would choose Cancun or Riviera Maya because they have the best resorts and travel packages.

Egypt:

Egypt is known for being one of the most old cultural gems of the world. A country that gave birth to the 'Seven Wonders of the Ancient World'.

Meeting this country at least once is a "must". All the history behind, all the wonders to visit, rich cultural experiences to have... You won't have enough days to enjoy this marvelous landmark.

Egypt travel restrictions are no different from any other country.

You will need a PCR test 72 hours before the test (with exemption of some countries which is 96 hours). In addition to this, before your trip you will need to apply for an Egypt visa, which can be done online. Once issued you are allowed to visit the country for a period 30 days. This is a way of avoiding having to get in contact with the embassies in the airport.

Finally, you will need to fill a form in the government page of the country just to keep track of the tourism in this crazy situation.

Once in the country, you can choose from a big variety of packages to meet the landscapes and cultural wonders. Egypt takes the measurements really serious in order to guarantee the safety of all travelers.

So, stop making excuses and start the trip of your life.

In my opinion, doing the Nile river tour, which is 3-4 days in a cruise, is a requirement.

Iceland:

Iceland has been become the safest place to travel inside of Europe. This is because of rapid response of the government.

Iceland is known for its natural beauty. Mystical landscapes and scenery that you won't find anywhere else. Its uniqueness and natural phenomena will make you have a special place in your heart for Iceland.

Although, Iceland does ask for a PCR test 72 hours before the trip, there is no need for a two week quarantine and their borders have been always open.

In addition, to the PCR test you will have to do a double screening in the Icelandic airport to be followed with a 5-6 days of quarantine until you get the results.

Then you can start your journey to experience the unforgettable Northern lights.

Maybe you are thinking that is to many things to do but this is what made it the safest country in Europe. You will be able to walk its roads and streets without having to worry about that bug. AND IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!

We recommend you to visit the Vatnajökull glacier, the Golden circle route, and the Blue Lagoon.

The Azores - Portugal:

The Azores have remained in the green zone of the safest destinations for a long period of time.

The archipelago is composed by 9 different marvelous islands: Flores, Corvo, Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico, Fayal, Santa Maria, and São Miguel.

Each island has its different and unique scenery difficult to find somewhere else.

You can choose from a different variety of outdoors activities which we all are missing and seeking.

To enter to the island, you will need a SARS-CoV-2 test done 72 hours before the trip and also filling an evaluation questionnaire.

If the test comes out negative you do not need to do any form of quarantine and you can enjoy your visit.

We strongly recommend you to visit the island called "Flores", the smallest island, with only 3.907 habitants and it is made for the nature lovers and most unique landscapes.

Furthermore, for only 8€ per person, you can enjoy the marvelous Algar do Carvão in Terceira. A unique lava cave with an empty of full lake.

Travelling between islands is very well organized and easy.

Tahiti- French Polynesia:

Tahiti is the perfect destinations for the ones seeking relaxation in a dream natural place.

They handled the pandemic better than many countries in Europe.

The island can adapt to anyone needs; you can just relax in a resort or go adventuring snorkeling or hiking. Even if you are seeking for a romantic getaway, Tahiti is known for its romantic cocoon stay and their overwater bungalows.

You can immerse in the culture with the Tahitian dancing, the volcanoes, waterfalls, lagoons landscape, and the Gourmet French Polynesian cuisine.

If this doesn't convince you, I don't know what will.

Regarding the measures, you will need a negative PCR test three days prior the trip and a self-test 4 days after arrival in French Polynesia, which will be provided upon arrival. The good thing is that there is no need for quarantine.

We recommend you to start a tour in the jungle which are offered in the island and it is an unforgettable experience.
